Daniel J. McGlynn has practiced in the areas of automobile, industrial and
maritime accidents, product liability, medical malpractice and pharmaceutical
and drug side effect cases since 1985. He is a graduate of University High
School, Louisiana State University and the Louisiana State University School of
Law. He is a member of the American Trial Lawyer's Association, Louisiana Trial
Lawyer's Association, The Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel and the
American, Louisiana State and Baton Rouge Bar Associations. He is admitted to
practice in all Louisiana State District and Appeal Courts, the Louisiana State
Supreme Court, The Eastern, Middle and Western Federal District Courts for the
State of Louisiana, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal and has been admitted to
practice pro hac vice in numerous out of State jurisdictions, including
Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Arizona, Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, New
Mexico, Michigan, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, California, New York, Colorado, Georgia
and Tennessee.
Mr. McGlynn has also been consulted on medical malpractice cases in the
United Kingdom, Canada and Israel. He is a frequent lecturer for LSU and
Southern University law schools, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the
Louisiana Trial Lawyers' Association and the Baton Rouge Bar Association. He has
lectured extensively at seminars across the country involving trial, litigation
and medical malpractice issues.
In addition to his significant legal pursuits, which have included numerous
large trial verdicts in various jurisdictions across the country, Mr. McGlynn is
very actively involved in the local Baton Rouge community and serves on the
Board of the Society for the Preservation of a Historical Louisiana, the Baton
Rouge Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Mayor's "Can-Do" counsel.
He is actively involved in the Baton Rouge Bar Association and the redevelopment
and promotion of the Baton Rouge Downtown Development District and Mid-City
Redevelopment Alliance.
